Pantanal (Brazil)

The Pantanal is a huge swamp region close to the border with Bolivia. It is well known for its amazing fauna and flora. However, it is less "dangerous" than the Amazon River region: The malaria danger is quite moderate and the caimans are reasonably well-educated: only one attack against humans has been recorded. Since this regions is part of Mato Grosso do Sul, one of the wealthier regions of Brazil, criminality is no problem either. To sum it up, it is a beautiful region where you can have a lot of fun!
